Pre-Kindergarten (4 - 5 years old)
Thank you to all the families that joined us for our family night of science fun! The Pre-Kindergarten children were fascinated by the science experiments they participated in such as "elephant toothpaste" and "fizz, bubble, pop"!
Every kid is a SMART kid – that’s the philosophy behind everything we do at Tutor Time. At this age, the Tutor Time® LifeSmart™ curriculum builds on your child’s cognitive, social and emotional needs in preparation for the kindergarten classroom. Aligned with standards set forth by national accrediting associations, this curriculum cultivates all the ways children are smart. Want proof? A recent kindergarten preparedness study showed that children in our program made substantial gains in development and had the necessary skills to enter and excel in kindergarten.
Lessons are designed to ensure that children grasp concepts in ways that are most meaningful to them. Classrooms include learning centers designed around these “smarts” to encourage independent discovery. So in addition to the 3 Rs, your child will learn to love learning.

I am a LifeSmart Teacher in Tutor Time’s Pre-K Classroom. Currently, I am double majoring at Housatonic Community College in Nursing and Early Childhood Education. I especially enjoy creating learning opportunities for the children through music, art and sensory activities. The most important experience for a child is to feel special and I help make that happen every day. In my spare time I enjoy being with my niece and nephew as well as reading and shopping.

I am the Pre-K Teacher at Tutor Time. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from SCSU plus a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven. What I like most about working in child care is watching the children's progress and growth, seeing them show their individual creativity in a place where they know they can feel safe and loved. I especially enjoy reading the stories that go along with the Tutor Time Creating Character program. During my spare time, I like to shop, go the the beach and spend time with family and friends.
