Meet the Staff
Carol Anderson - Owner/Operator
Welcome to our Shelton Childcare Center!
For over 12 years, my husband and I have owned and operated Tutor Time Child Care. Together since college where I earned a BS in Home Economics and Fashion Design, we worked for a time in New York City and then moved with our two boys to Connecticut about 20 years ago.
One of the reasons that led to our decision to open a Tutor Time Child Care Center was our very real difficulty as working parents looking for quality child care for our own children. With Tutor Time, we felt that no other program met the needs of parents with a safe secure environment, caring teachers, fantastic educational curriculum and hours that fit every schedule.
Now as onsite owners, we’re in our schools each week offering families the highest quality child care program that makes everyone – children, parents and teachers – happy.
Arthur Lungo – Owner /Operator
I gained appreciation for the role of teacher as well as educating children with my first job after college – as a junior high school math teacher. After that, for many years I put my BS in Business Management to good use working in New York City.
But once my family and I had moved to Connecticut, something became very evident: the area’s lack of a quality child care program with an educational curriculum that was also geared towards working parents. We discovered, though, that Tutor Time more than met those needs! And opening our own was an easy choice as it combined our love of teaching children with previous experiences to successfully operate a business that could provide the best service to families.
Now we work hard to keep everyone happy from children to parents and our staff. In fact, we’re delighted to note that many of our teachers have been with us for over 5 years – and a number have even earned a 10-year pin! We pride ourselves on an exceptional child care experience for families who choose Tutor Time.
Doris Quagliani – Area Director in Norwalk, Milford and Shelton
I am no stranger to what goes into child care and what should come out of it. For over 20 years I’ve worked in the field in Connecticut, but equally important, I’m the mother of five with almost all of them active in ice hockey!
Education and children have always been driving passions in my career, which includes a BS in Business Management and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a State of Connecticut Directors Credential and a Head Teacher Certification.
From the first day it opened, I have been a part of Tutor Time Norwalk. Now 12 years later, I’m still there and at our other two centers working with Directors and teachers to help bring our programs to life and ensure they run smoothly and effectively. One of the great joys of this job is continually hearing the results of our efforts by talking with parents about their children’s daily Tutor Time experiences. To me, every day is a fun day – and it’s especially true at Tutor Time!

I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for eight years. I began working at Tutor Time when the center first opened in February of 2009. I started out as a Twaddler Teacher in a Smart Start Classroom. Later I became a PreSchool Teacher in a LifeSmart Classroom. I have a Bachelors Degree from Central Connecticut State College and am currently am currently enrolled at Housatonic Community College taking classes in Early Childhood Education. What I enjoy the most about Tutor Time is that the curriculum allows the children to have hands on experiences. It allows them to explore, investigate and be creative and imaginative. When I am not at Tutor Time I enjoy skiing, jet skiing, going to the beach and spending time with my family and friends. I recently became engaged and am planning to be married in the spring of 2013.
